Visual Trader Systems S.L. was founded in 2001 to develop and operate the Visual Trader system. The company is integrated in Spanish Exchanges (BME).

The project was launched for the first time in 1992 with the aim of offering to the Spanish financial entities an automatic order routing system for channelling orders to the Spanish market.
Due to the increasing interest in foreign stock markets shown by Spanish banks and brokers, in 1998 the system was extended to give access to international marketplaces.

Today Visual Trader is a platform that allows to access to over 40 markets and several international routing networks and it connects hundreds of financial entities and brokers around the world, both for sending and receiving orders. The Visual Trader system represents BME's response to the challenge that globalisation poses.
